1. Introduction

Welcome to Cleo. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our platform and services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, update your profile, or communicate with us. This may include:

  • Contact Information (e.g., name, email address)
  • Authentication Information (via Clerks)
  • Usage Data and Preferences
  • Connected service data (e.g. Google Calendar, Notion) if you choose to integrate them.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for various purposes, including:

  • Providing and maintaining our Services
  • Personalizing your experience
  • Improving our AI capabilities
  • Communicating with you about updates or support
  • Ensuring the security and integrity of our platform

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

5. Third-Party Services

Our service may contain links to or integrations with third-party sites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third parties.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

7. Google User Data — Sharing & Disclosure

Sharing of Google User Data

We do not sell, rent, or share Google user data with any third parties. Google Calendar data (calendar events, attendee email addresses) is stored securely on our servers and is used exclusively to provide calendar functionality within the Cleo application. We do not transfer Google user data to any advertising networks, data brokers, or other external services.

8. Use of Google User Data

We access Google Calendar data solely to provide and improve the core functionality of the Cleo application — specifically, to create, read, update, and delete calendar events on behalf of the user for project management purposes. Google user data is not used for advertising, analytics, AI/ML model training, or any purpose unrelated to the features you explicitly use within Cleo.

9. Data Retention & Deletion

Retention and Deletion of Google User Data

Google Calendar data (event titles, descriptions, dates, attendee emails) is retained on our servers for as long as your account is active. When you disconnect Google Calendar from Cleo (via Settings → Disconnect), all associated Google tokens are immediately deleted from our systems. Your local calendar events remain in Cleo but are no longer synced with Google.

To request complete deletion of all your data including any Google user data, contact us at support@trycleo.tech and we will delete it within 30 days.
